Online Basic Class
Building up Agility Foundations
This basic course is designed for dogs from 7 months on of age who want to start their agility adventure. The whole education concept is primarily based on verbal cues and a step-by-step structure to offer dogs and dog handlers as much self-confidence and understanding as possible.
GENERAL INFORMATION
In order to avoid overwhelming the dog and dog handler we only deal with a part of the future cues in the basic class and attach particular importance to a structured building up and understanding as well as motivation and of course speed.
Most of the exercises are designed so that you get by with little equipment and space (usually only 1 barrel / pylon and 1 jump or tunnel). However, in order to fully exploit the course – and also to build up or check the dog’s understanding in speed – it makes sense to have more space and equipment available here and then (up to 3 barrels / pylons, 2 tunnels and 3 jumps).

START & DURATION
→ WHEN DO THE NEXT COURSES START?
In contrast to a working spot an auditing spot can be booked and started at any time!
I offer working spots at the beginning of every second or third month. The number of students is very limited! An early registration makes sense but doesn‘t guarantee a spot.
→ COURSE DURATION & SCHEDULE
There are 8 main lessons that appear weekly or bi-weekly so that there is enough time to rework as well as other important information.
- General information: right after the course has started
- Lektion 1: 1 day after the course has started
- Lektion 2: 1 week after the course has started
- Lektion 3: 2 weeks after the course has started
- Lektion 4: 3 weeks after the course has started
- Sequenzen 1: 4 weeks after the course has started
- Lektion 5: 6 weeks after the course has started
- Lektion 6: 7 weeks after the course has started
- Sequenzen 2: 9 weeks after the course has started
Working spots receive 12 weeks of feedback on team-related questions and videos. General questions are allowed to be asked by everyone.
You have a total of 6 months access to all content. However, it is also possible to extend the access time after it has expired.

The working spots are strictly limited and will be confirmed personally. The course starts at the beginning of every second or third month.

Auditing spots – 140 € incl. (german) taxes
The auditing spots are not limited and can be started at any time. If you have paid with PayPal the online course starts immediately. Bank transfers have to be received first.

REQUIREMENTS
→ AGE AND TRAINING STATUS OF THE DOG
This class is designed for young dogs from 7 months on of age. But of course it can’t hurt to work on these agility basics with older dogs. Knowledge of equipment is not required – I even prefer “raw” dogs for a working participation!
I do expect a dog that likes to be motivated and rewarded with toys and / or food, likes to work with his handler and shows good basic obedience. I would like to recommend my two online courses “Becoming a team” in advance in order to be well prepared; however, these is not a must.
→ MATERIALS
For the main lessons:
- 1-3 barrels / pylons
- mostly 1 jump; sometimes also 2
- 1 Tunnel (3-4m are fine for the most exercises; for teaching an U-Tunnel you need one with 5-6m)
- less space
For the sequences:
- up to 3 jumps
- 2 Tunnel (1x 3-4m & 1x 5-6m)
- a space around 25m x 12m – time for running 🙂
→ TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Of course you need an internet-enabled device to access the protected member area which contains all course content and the forum. Facebook is not required!
As an working participant you should also have the option of filming yourself and your dog (for example with a smartphone and tripod) and uploading these videos externally (for example to a free YouTube account)!

You want a working spot: Select the online course/training, click on "Register" and fill out the following registration form. After checking whether there are still places available for your desired start date or not, I will get in touch with you. If the form cannot be filled out the classes are already full or no working sports are planned!
